luckly no deadline, and it was in fact salvageable and really has turned out better than ever, I'm now happy to report.
Sounds like the perfect time to put it down and walk away. If only I could remember that BEFORE doing something like this.

They sure are pretty though. Totally worth salvaging.
So glad you managed the repair...the colours are so compatible.It would've been too much to have them separated!
