Soon! I fly home to Seattle on April 25. Then a road trip with just my mom. We'll drive to my aunt's ranch in Idaho for a visit. A stay with my aunt is better than any spa could be, she puts us right to work. Fresh air and hard work, lobbing the occasional stone at a rattlesnake. I will return strong, brave and bold.
We're not sure which route we'll take. Probably a big circle. Across Washington to start and back through Oregon. To begin, I'd like to travel in the wrong direction, to the north Cascades, where my great-grandparents used to have a camp, in Silverton. But, it may be too far out of the way. I suppose.

Yay - I love a good road trip!
Check out Roadside America for bizarre places to stop and visit along the way - it provided much entertainment for us on our our recent loooong drive.
This sounds amazing - even the snakes :)
Yeay! That sounds SO exciting. And like tons and tons of fun.
Starting out in the wrong direction? Oh, I'm jealous! =)
Sounds like a wonderful vacation! I hope we get some better weather out here for you to enjoy!
Bring some sunshine before you leave.
And then enjoy your road trip. I LOVE road trips.
Just stopped by to say Hi as I'm now taking part in Karin's 30 day 30 photograph challenge.
Have a safe and wonderful trip!
Well, it sounds like I am not the only one planning a road trip with her mother! Mine is flying over from Germany and we'll be driving across the country from New England to Western Washington where I am moving. My mother hasn't traveled much throughout her life and I am so happy to be able to give her a little adventure in her "old days" (she's 68). It looks like your trip will take you through some wonderful parts of the country, I'll be sure to come back and read up on your experience :)
I'm looking forward to your visit! See you at the studio!
