Busy, busy times at Chez Mink! Even Midge came out of hiding and made an apron! Valentine-y yes, but also a little French for the 3rd Annual Cassoulet-Off, happening this Saturday. Tomorrow Mary Jane must brave the icy roads and drive to Montreal, to pick up some Toulouse sausage and her dearest daughter. If time permits Mink hopes to contribute a vegetarian version to the contest. If you are in the neighborhood, do drop in! No cassoulet required, we need judges too. It's always lots of fun.
Oh yes, I have to show the bow.

I love the pictures! Great job on the apron.
I will, of course, be there. Last year was such fun! I have my #2 pencil all sharpened and ready for the judging.
what lovely photos!!!! Beautiful apron, so wonderful with that blue dress!!!!! Love the big bow :) Pretty pretty!!!
Fantastic apron! A cassoulet cook-off? It sounds like a blast.
The cassoulet cook-off sounds like great fun! Hope you had a good trip...nice apron.
Thanks All! Dress courtesy of Miss Petula Darling. Trip was treacherous, but worth it to meet Sophie's friends and get the sausage...and goose fat!
I wish I could pop in, but I'm in Portland at the SPA. Have fun, eat much!
The cassoulet cookoff was quite a success.
I took my part in the judging very seriously and had about seven helpings of each version (just so I could make an informed decision of course). I should have enough duck fat in me to stay warm until spring.
Thanks Mary Jane!
As Petula mentioned, the Cassoulet Off was great fun. The final Cassoulet off results, "the categories" won't be up as promised, till a little later, as we have to take our niece to an important swim meet, not canceled even though it's snowing! So cheer the little fish on, and I'll be back to tally the votes late this afternoon.
Sounds like suchfun! I love those pics!
I need the final results!
Although I don't envy you trying to figure out how to tally those ballots.
