After we spent some time up at Stuart, we went to Marrowstone Island off the Olympic Peninsula, in Puget Sound, where we stayed at the ancestral home of my mom's sweetheart. The two of them have gently restored the weatherd clapboard farmhouse, which sits in a field above a long beautiful beach. My favorite room is the kitchen.

This is lovely! I have an ache; it's such a pretty room.
I'm so inspired by these pictures; this is my idea of the perfect place to live.
It's lovely -- the only place I can think where lacey cat curtains really do suit the room. Don't tell Seth, but I think that cake box is the prettiest I've ever seen. He's given me a cute vintage orange one, but he'd have to admit that those pretty pretty blue and orange flowers are exactly to my taste.
It's an amazing place ,and it's been restored so tenderly.I love the cake box too ,as well as the gorgeous wooden floor.
Wow, wow, WOW! That has to be one of the best kitchen I've ever seen. I wouldn't need any other rooms if that kitchen belonged to me!
Geez, I can see why. That's a beautiful little kitchen. It looks like it would always smell good in there.
I just found your site through Pandora's Button box.
I am in love with that kitchen!
