At times one seems to need the fortifications of a castle, to keep on keeping on. Maybe it's because I forgot to eat black-eyed-peas on New Year's Day....I did have grits....I don't suppose that counts.
I don't know about peas or pork or lentils for New Year. What I do know is that no matter how many times I visit your blog, your talent for photography isn't rubbing off on me. I am getting really good at wishing though :) Happy New Year (black-eyed peas or not!)

There is something so overwhelming about a New Year, yet we must soldier on.
I'm curious about that photo. Is that Maine?
Yep, it is the old Knox Woolen Mill. The view from our office, across the river which is like a canal at this point.
Funny how some folks eat black-eyed peas, while others eat pork & sauerkraut for the start of a new year...
...or lentils...
Does it still count if I have black eyed peas in my cupboard?
I had bruchetta and cheesecake for New Year. I was staying with a great chef :)
Ah. January. I don't think any amount of good-luck food can do one bit to offset it.
