Life in Washington DC

knitting corner

Though I'm not knitting as much as I'd like...I never do...when I have a chance it is done here, with a view of the German Embassy through dogwood blooms.

all-a-whirl

In general life has been a whirl, of increasing intensity. Big plans afoot.

because of bounding poodles

The poodlicious ones keep it bounding along, amusing and action packed.

I took a break and hit a rummage sale this morning.

$4 score

Score! $4, vintage Frye boots, made in USA, hooray!

Oh, those Frye boots are the ones I wore for years, until my feet grew and they became too small. I loved, loved, loved those boots. I purchased mine at Shippy Shoe Store in Stevens Point, WI. If those are size 9-10 women's, I'll buy them from you!! ;) I hope you have many happy hours wearing these beautiful, beautiful boots!!

They are fantastic! Nice job. Check out some used clothing stores while you are there more goodies may await.

Here's another suggestion: Glen Echo--just head west on Macarthur Blvd for a few miles. I haven't been in a few years, but it used to be quite something; ripe with evidence of its glory days as Washington's amusement park.

Hey thanks you guys! Susette, it is so funny you say Glen Echo, I thought I might visit it this week, a friend of mine worked there as a teenager, and the town is supposed to be cute too.

Life in DC looks good. Your Frye's are awesome. I just bought a new pair of Frye's that look similar but cost a whole bundle more.
