My suggestion? Have a great time!
no suggestions ~ but have a lovely time, and I love your luggage!
oooh, lucky you, it's cherry blossom time. A small but nice museum is the Textile Museum http://www.textilemuseum.org/fsg/, it looks like Ottoman textiles are there now.
oops, I guess that was an old link, it's not Ottoman textiles now. http://www.textilemuseum.org/The trip out to Mt. Vernon is worth it if you have the time.
last one I swear! Eastern Market is great on the weekends.http://www.easternmarket.net/
enjoy! yes my suggestion is to enjoy spring :)
The gardens at Dumbarton Oaks will be spectacular now; also check out the Torpedo Factory in Alexandria and the Renwick after you've been to the Textile Museum. The cherry blossoms are in full bloom, so you really won't go wrong. Have a great time!
Check out Stitch DC. I went there a few years ago and it was delightful...
I think the Smithsonian's American History museum has reopened after its remodel....they had a few nice textiles when last I visited (pre-remodel.....).I also love the National Gallery of Art, myself....I'm an hour away in Annapolis
